New York City is in the middle of a housing crisis. It has never been more unaffordable to live in America’s largest city.
Key to addressing high housing costs is understanding what governs the creation of new housing. One core process to that end is something called the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure. Or as it is more commonly called, “ULURP”.

But I know — understanding how a complex government approval process works is probably as interesting as watching paint dry! So I used Google’s NotebookLM to create a podcast about it.
